Creating a virtualized model for common hardware platform for LTE

During the development of products in IT industry, Software development usually starts later when hardware is in final stages of initial prototyping and still continues with its development even after final hardware is ready. If emulator/simulator exists for the hardware then it speeds up the software development, but unfortunately there are many limitations with existing virtual models such unavailability of models for every external components on board such as io devices, trans-receivers etc.
The aim for thesis is to create virtual model for the existing board (platform) using existing virtual models for individual components and create the models for missing libraries.

Goals:
-Investigate and describe the models to be created for board.
-Create the models using SystemC.
-Boot Linux on the virtual platform.
