Search for Dark Matter with gamma-ray satellite GLAST
OBS! ANSÖKNINGSTIDEN FÖR DETTA EXJOBB HAR LÖPT UT.
GLAST (Gamma-Ray-Large-Area Space Telescope) is the next generation Gamma-Ray Observatory anticipated to be launched from Cape Canaveral during autum 2007.
With GLAST we will be able to study the mysterious objects known as Gamma Ray Bursts,
active galaxies and - of particular interest to the Swedish institutions involved in
GLAST - might detect signatures of Dark Matter.
At KTH, we have a variety of ex-jobb opportunities dealing with preparation of the dark matter search with GLAST. The possible subjects include simulation of the GLAST detector and development and improvement of data analysis methods.
