New Methodology for Formulation Shelf-life Stability

OBS! ANSÖKNINGSTIDEN FÖR DETTA EXJOBB HAR LÖPT UT.
Project to be carried out at YKI, Stockholm, Sweden.

Background
Formulation technology is increasing in importance for development within many industrial sectors. Most chemical products today are being used in a formulation. This means that formulation ingredients as solvents, surfactants and polymers are used to design the product to desired properties with respect to viscosity, stability, and homogeneity. This concerns consumer products developed for pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications, as well as products for industrial applications (lubricants, coatings etc)

Project
At YKI a diploma work is planned to develop a new automated instrument for studies of formulation stability – the Turbiscan AGS. The objective of the work is to develop new application for studies of formulation shelf-life stability. The diploma study will involve experimental as well as theoretical work.

Requirements
Program in chemistry/chemical engineering or related topics
Start: Spring term 2007 (early). 20 credit points.
