Thesis work proposals:
Abstract Volvo CE HLD Division develops and manufacturers wheel loaders and articulated haulers, in the field of construction equipment.
Increasing demands on functionality require more and more sophisticated and intelligent wash and wiper systems.
To meet these requirements we need to improve our technique in wash and wiper function. The work is intended as a 20p thesis work for two co-operating students.

Suitable background:
Master of Science EE or equal, HW and SW design

Description of thesis work
This thesis will consist of three parts:
1. Investigate what system demands to put on a smart wash and wiper function, starting at customer level, passing through available technologies, 3rd part systems, and future technologies, and ending in design proposal. This work results in a thoroughly documented report in English, serving as a base to further actions.
2. Based on the report above, develop or implement a system and install it in several machines at both clinic level as well as end user level. Monitor these systems, and make report about failures, shortcomings, and found improvements.
3. Do costs analyze, including remaining development costs, industrialization cost, and product costs.
All three parts above will be put together in final master thesis report.
