Search for factors involved in neurogenesis and neuronal differentiation in the adult brain

Introduction:
Adult neurogenesis has been recently described in the lateral ventricular wall and in the hippocampus of the adult brain. However, recent data suggest that neurogenesis can occur in other brain areas as well opoening up unexpected exciting fields of research for future therapies of brain diseases.
Aim:
Identification of factors able to induce nerogenesis and neuronal differentiation of adult neuronal stem cells.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in culturing cells, preferentially with primary neurons and/or neuronal cell lines. Generic background in cell biology and neurobiology.
