Alternative projection lightsources
We are looking for a thesis worker, to work at our company under guidance of a senior optical engineer.
That will theoretically, but mostly practically! Investigate and test new/different types of lightsources to be fitted in our current projector-platform Veo+. These light-sources could be of any type. Most commonly used today are: LED, UHP.
The general goal of the thesis work is to find mew types of compatible lightsources to our Veo+ unit fitting certain specific applications that Optea is aware of. Such as can be special Head's Up Display applications with certain requirements on brightness and light colour spectra.
Once the optimal commercially availabe lightsource is found for this application. Practical tests shall be carried out to analyse the obtained image quality (of course scientifically documented).
Simple test-electronics (Lamp/LED drivers) might need to be developed.
One of the restrictions of the Thesis work is that we wish to mantain our current optical design (DLP-technology).
This will put restraints in which lightsources can be used.
