The company

Euro Office develops and manufactures ergonomically correct computer accessories. The company was established 2005 in Napa Valley in northern California. Although the company itself is American it is owned and managed by Swedes.

The company is in a period of high growth and today we have increasing sales on five continents. The company’s products are developed in California and England, but manufactured in China.

Background and Mission

Landsting and kommuner in Sweden are among the biggest employers nationwide. Generally they have centralized purchasing routines and buy equipment for thousands of administrative personnel each year.
There are legislation and guidelines governing how purchasing to the public sector should be handled in Sweden. There are also guidelines concerning ergonomic equipment and what is a good working environment and not.

How does kommuner in landsting handle purchasing of ergonomic equipment? How common is it that ergonomic computer accessories are part of standardized set ups? Is ergonomics even considered as a deciding factor when larger purchases of computer, and office, equipment are made?

The details of the goals for this project will be decided in collaboration with the student(s) and is up for discussion. Scope is highly flexible depending on the number of students and their previous experiences in this field.
