Multiple target detection in Wall Penetrating UWB Radar
The need in industries to monitor their processes is very important to avoid failures in production that cost lots of money. In some application it’s not possible to use cameras or laser to measure process due to for example heat or locate objects in a wall. Its here where the radar has one of its big advantages when it’s possible to “see” through walls or what happens inside walls.

The UWB radar is based on a m-sequence radar. A generator generates a PRBS signal that is transmitted trough an antenna. The signal will be reflected on the radar object and received by an antenna. The received signal is cross-correlated with the transmitted signal.
Build up the existing UWB system in simulink. Investigate different methods to increase the possibility to detect multiple targets that are close to each other.
You should be a Master of Science student in electrical engineering, applied physics or similar. Courses in signal processing, radar and scholastic process is an advantage.
The successful candidate must have
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Good matlab/simulink skills
Good communications skills
You are a self-motivated and positive person
This thesis is for 2 students. If you have some one to work with name them in the application.
