Massive crowd simulation in realtime 3D on the DirectX10/11 using Ogre3D.

During the years we have had five examworkers doing different parts of a massive crowds simulation and rendering system.

Areas done are.

Desition trees AI on the GPU (graphics process)
Skinning of charcters bones and rendering done.
Flocking and behavioural AI system on the GPU.
Ridigif body physics on the GPU.

Missing are animation system on the GPU, we do have some papers on how to do this. We also need a state machines for massive crowds and path finding implemented on GPGPU. We are also looking for students to do GPGPU side view frustrum culling etc on these crowds.


All the abouve system integrated to Ogre3D using OpenCL a GPGPU language.

The right candidate should be able to read openGL and DirectX demos made we have reports to these as well.
And be able to implent them using OpenCL in the open source Ogre3D engine.

We can prommise you learn a lot about GPU's and state of the art programming on massive crowds.

DirectX10 hardware required. Although we have some DirectX10 graphics card.

We have demos of the existing parts.

Require ments C++ skills. Directx/OpenGL skills.

Bonus skills.
Shader programming GPU skiills.
OpenCL or CUDA skills.
Massive crowd experiance
