Your workplace
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.

Your role
Analysis/simulation is the first step to evaluate changes in current design. However, a simple modal analysis is not enough. In most case the enforcement is essential. To evaluate enforcement the model must be more complex and include e.g. damping.

Work break down:
- Bench marketing; papers, experience
- Learning ANSYS
- Model a complete electronic unit
- Perform modal analysis
- Improve the model with e.g damping
- Perform a enforcement analysis
- Study the earlier test result
- Tune the model to match the test result
- Establish figures for future simulation
o Stiffness for PCB
o Damping in screw joint

Your qualifications
This thesis is addressed to students who are interested in simulation of mechanics and electronics. The goal of the thesis is to develop a model and tuned the model to existing test results. Prospect for this thesis is 6 months or 30 credits.
