ASP.NET programming in Gothenburg

Digital Fox searches for yet another creative master’s thesis worker. We offer a challenging and interesting master’s thesis project for one or two persons interested in web development and object oriented programming. As a project worker at Digital Fox you will have access to a modern and centrally located office environment in Gothenburg City as well as individual tutoring.

SCOPE
The project covers 20 weeks and is intended for one or two persons. The project should be carried out during summer-autumn 2008. The project mainly deals with:
object oriented system development (C# ASP.NET), UML, CSS, HTML, GUI, databases (MSSql), data structures.
Required skills We are looking for a person that is interested in working with web based applications in .NET and that likes to work in object oriented systems with high
complexity. As a person you are ambitious, hard working and self-learning. Previous experience from web development or development of report functionality is a plus.

TASK AND IMPLEMENTATION
The project’s main task is to extend the web based system, DF Respons, with a report generator. The report generator will collect data about how the report should look
like from the user. The user should be able to choose whether the report will be accessible only the creator, all users in the system, or published on the web. A report
may contain both graphs and data tables. The currently available report functions in the system are implemented using Microsoft ReportViewer. However this may not be
the best technology to use. Therefore, investigating third party reporting tools will be a part of the master’s thesis’ feasibility study. All implementation work must be carried out on site at the Digital Fox office.
