A zebrafish model to study tumor angiogenesis and growth
OBS! ANSÖKNINGSTIDEN FÖR DETTA EXJOBB HAR LÖPT UT.
We have developed a zebrafish model, which allows us to study blood and lymphatic vessel development in embryos and blood vessel growth in the adult. This transgenic fish model expresses a marker protein, which can be easily followed by available detection techniques. We would like to further develop this model system for studying tumor angiogenesis in fish. We are collaborating a a research group in Singapore to develop a fish cancer model for our studies. The fish model also allows us to screen for orally available anticancer drugs.
