Background
In industrial and public display systems there are requirements to show streamed MPEG video information inserted in a frame alternatively covering a whole display.
Thesis tasks
¿ To study and compare different solutions for the generation of a video in a frame in a LCD/TFT or other display system. The solutions to study include SW-based decoder solutions available as open source, FPGA-based VHDL IP blocks or external Video components.
¿ A system proposal.
¿ An implementation for a prototype either in C/C++, VHDL or in a board design depending on chosen solution.
Project start
ASAP. One student for a 20 week period or two students for a 10 week period.
