Leon sparc based CPU implemented in a FPGA
OBS! ANSÖKNINGSTIDEN FÖR DETTA EXJOBB HAR LÖPT UT.
The task is to combine a 32-bit microcontroller core (Leon Sparc based) and one or more subsystems (CAN controller core). The VHDL design should be synthesized, simulated and implemented in an FPGA.
The functionality should include:
¿ Various boot functions
¿ System level communication (CAN bus, Ethernet)
¿ Basic I/O functions, i.e. parallel and SPI type serial ports
¿ Basic tests of Linux and/or eCos operating system
The combined core will be used for scientific instrument control systems on satellites.
Knowledge: VHDL, some microcontroller architecture, basic assembler and C programming
