Intelligent CAN-bus node
OBS! ANSÖKNINGSTIDEN FÖR DETTA EXJOBB HAR LÖPT UT.
The task is to design and/or combine a 8-bit microcontroller core with a CAN controller core, both implemented in VHDL. The design should be synthesized, simulated and implemented in an FPGA.
The functionality should include:
¿ Remote boot of microcontroller over the CAN-bus
¿ Boot from serial prom
¿ Basic I/O functions, i.e. parallel and SPI type serial ports
There exist 2-3 tested CAN core¿s available to Omnisys and a few public domain microcontroller cores. There are several CPU cores available, including PIC, AVR, 6502 based ones.
The combined core will be used for a distributed telemetry/telecommand system for scientific satellites.
